M3U playlist
An M3U playlist (often searched as IPTV M3U) is a list of stream references. The player walks that list to show channels.
In practice: M3U playlist
Not every M3U URL is lawful to use: only streams you have a right to should appear.
VLC, Jellyfin and other players can open a local or remote M3U.
An M3U is only an index: it does not create rights. A URL on a forum is not automatically lawful. Enter only the playlist that came with your plan.
Takeaways on M3U playlist
On a playback error, check the full URL, that the player accepts the format, and that internet is up. Do not stack lists: one plan, one playlist.
